Instructors for Jividen's "Naturally Wild" Photo Adventures
Jerry and Barbara Jividen Owners and operaters of Jividen’s "Naturally Wild" Photo Adventures and Images Unique, LLC. The Jividen’s offer approximately 20 workshops and seminars per year—exclusively for nature photographers. Additionally, they work with other renowned workshop specialists who instruct for their company in designated areas. Their workshops stretch across the US from Florida to Denali National Park, reaching many unique destinations in between. The Jividens have more than 43 combined years of photography experience, and have been working together since 1990. Their photography appears in books, magazines, calendars, travel planners, and in marketing and advertising media. Their photo credits include: National Geographic Books Division, Writer's Digest Photographer's Market, Outdoor & Nature Photography, Nature Photographer, Bears & Other Top Predators, Field & Stream, Birds & Blooms, SkyWest Magazine, Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, Bronx Zoo, Falcon Press, Standard Publishing, Abbeville Press, and others. Before obtaining their Ohio teaching certificates, the team primarily focused their attention on stock photography—serving photo buyers, publishers, and corporate clients. Their stock photography images have appeared on more than 100 magazine and book covers, and on hundreds of interior pages. Both Jerry and Barbara write for a variety of photography-related publications. They are members of the American Society of Media Photographers, North American Nature Photography Association (where Barbara is Assistant
Editor for NANPA Currents), Outdoor Writers Association of America, and the
Nature Photographers Network (where Barbara is Editor of
Network News).
Steven Barger Steve brings more than 20 years of photography experience to the workshops and seminars. With an Engineering degree and nearly 25 years teaching experience at the University of Cincinnati, Steve offers invaluable experience and support to these programs. Steve's technical—and practical—applications enlighten workshop participants ranging from beginners to the most advanced. Steve works with his wife and business partner Suzanne (Barger Nature Photography), traveling and doing nature photography across the globe. Together, they sell photographic art prints and present a variety of nature and wildlife photography programs at different venues year-round. The Bargers' work has been exhibited and featured in galleries and showrooms for nearly a decade. They also specialize in photographing for commercial and corporate clients. Steve is a contributing writer for the Nature Photographers Network, and f/8 & Being There. Steve is a member of
the North American Nature Photography Association and the Nature Photographer's Network. Jim Adams is, among other things, a professional photographer. His work has been published, displayed in galleries and featured in fine homes, offices, lodges and other venues. Selections of his fine art prints have been collected by some notables including US Senators, by the former Secretary of the US Treasury, noted photographers, and other discriminating art lovers. He has lectured on subjects of interest for photographers. He is a photography instructor. He is a member of Nikon Professional Services – open to professional photographers. He has been a world traveler in his collecting photographic images. Some of the places where he has photographed include: Alaska, British Columbia, Calgary, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington State, Utah, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Kansas, Nebraska, within the Arctic Circle, Colorado, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ireland, England, France and others. Some of his photographic work has included weddings, portraiture, and architecture. He is a lover of animals, marvels in God’s creations, and finds that wildlife of every sort is among his favorite subjects. Like many other photographers, he feels that his most important photographic work may well be in one of his next projects.
Jeffrey Rich Jeff Rich graduated from Humboldt State University in 1983 with a BS in Wildlife biology, in 1985 with a BS in Biology and completed his life science teaching credential in 1986. Since that time Jeff has been teaching science and photographing nature professionally.. He is currently teaching at Stellar Charter School in Redding, CA. Jeff's love of the outdoors stem from his northern California upbringing. This enjoyment of nature, with his biology educational background has proved to be a perfect compliment in producing stunning nature photographs. A self taught nature photographer Jeff considers himself more as a photo-naturalist producing artful images of mother nature. Jeff has been teaching nature photo workshops and tours since 1991and is a wildlife and bird photography specialist. PHOTOGRAPHY CREDITS include National
