2008 - 2009 Photo Instructional Workshop Schedule

Hocking Hills Spring Photo Workshop
May 3, 2008
with Jerry & Barbara Jividen
Time:  8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Fee:  $129 or two for $235

The workshop will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Old Bear’s Den Photography Center near Logan, Ohio.  After a short orientation, photographers will depart to meet at the nearby Hocking Hills State Park for continuation of this interactive workshop.  (Transportation not included.)

Comprehensive field sessions will provide a great hands-on experience at Old Man’s Cave while hiking through the gorge and along part of the cave’s rim trail.  Participants will see and photograph some of the Park’s most impressive natural features, including two waterfalls and the cave for which this the area is named.

Photographers must be able to hike unassisted and able to climb stairs for this particular workshop as the trail at Old Man’s Cave is not fully handicap accessible.  Endurance rating is moderate, though our pace will be slow.

Instructors will offer assistance in manual metering, understanding exposure, creative composition, and many other important photography techniques. Instructors also plan to share field tips for optimizing outdoor photography and getting better shots.  Both digital and film photographers are welcome.

Handouts and lunch are included in the registration fee.
